Atletico could lose Diego Godin to Juventus

If Diego France's moves to retain the likes of Madrid are not soon enough, Atletico Madrid may well lose the Uruguayan defender to Juventus, who are aiming for a more solid defense.

As known, in many seasons Godin is still an irreplaceable pillars at Atletico. He made 45 appearances last season and made big contributions to Los Rojiblancos in the Europa League despite being 32.

Impressed with the ability of the Uruguayan star, Turin old lady is planning to bring him to Serie A. According to sources from the Italian press, Juventus reached a personal deal with Godin. Serie A will be offered to Uruguay's center-backs of a three-year contract with a salary not less than what he is currently receiving at Atletico.

Atletico, the team is also trying to keep their pillar. However, it is not easy when Juve are showing great ambition to conquer the Champions League. They have just signed 2017 Cristiano Ronaldo and have no intention of stopping "gut" at the big clubs in La Liga.

Is Juve successful with the Godin deal? This ability is very high because Juve currently has a huge budget for the transfer plan, which the Ronaldo affair is a proof. Atletico are not as wealthy as Juve and they have only one year to sign with Godin, so they do not necessarily want to keep the midfield. If so, just Juventus express the determination to conquer the signature of Godin by the price of 20 million euros, most likely they will succeed with this deal.
