Conflicts of policy
Failure in the National Cup final, as well as the suspension of the Champions League semi-final, did not make Uli Hoeness change the perception of Bayern's quality. He outspokenly refutes a coming summer season. "We will not spend too much money on the transfer market," Hoeness said. "If there is something to do, it is just to maximize current resources."
But Karl-Heinz Rummenigge thinks otherwise. Rummenigge said last week that Bayer's spending was never limited, and that this summer or summer, the Gray Lobster would have "contracts worth € 80 or € 90 million. " It seems that the 62-year-old manager is keen on Bayern. The big teams in Europe, from M.U, Juventus to Real, Barca or PSG have had deals of over 90 million euros.
Gray Lion, a record of 41.5 million euros (Corentin Tolisso) was set up last summer. In this regard, Hasan Salihamidzic was not on Rummenigge's side. In the Sueddeutsche Zeitung, Salihamidzic does not think that Bayern is forced to engage in real estate deals like the Real pursuit of Neymar. In his opinion, it only happens if this is a rollover, after earning a fortune from selling the player.
However, Salihamidzic also disagreed with Hoeness about the freezing transfer. He is still quietly approaching targets with pleasant prices, such as Anthony Martial (M.U), Jann-Fiete Arp (Hamburg), Matthijs de Ligt (Ajax Amsterdam) or Diogo Dalot (Porto).
Suffering for Niko Kovac
This is not the first time Bayern has not been able to find a common voice. At the end of last year, the conflict broke out when Carlo Ancelotti was fired and the team needed a replacement. Rummenigge wants a young coach, breaking the road to advocating a revolution. Hoeness, on the other hand, supports someone who has the experience of succeeding in the good traditions of the Allianz Arena. This disagreement caused the appointment of Thomas Tuchel broke, and then switch to Niko Kovac solution.
Continuing this situation is not a good way for Bayern. Although the sixth Bundesliga crown needs to look at reality, their power has dwindled. They also missed the Champions League final six years. This team is not ready to enter the new season as Hoeness said.
Left-back position is a concern while Jerome Boateng and Robert Lewandowski may be leaving. Ultimately, gray tigers need a permanent leader to inspire in important moments, or when in difficult situations. Manuel Neuer missed most of the season, and Arturo Vidal did not take up the role well, while Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben were just too sensitive to injury.
In that situation, Bayern's transfer strategy has not yet been approved by Rummenigge's administration, which is awaiting final decision. Niko Kovac will take over the club in July. Hopefully, the troubles will be resolved in order to get started.
