Milan invited Antonio Conte to lead the three-year contract with a salary of 6 million euros a year. However, the deal also depends on the binding between Conte and Chelsea.

In April, Milan appointed Gennaro Gattuso as manager. However, after only a few months, Gattuso was not trusted by Milan to bring the club back to old glory. Milan are aiming for another manager who has confirmed the talent, which is Conte. The Rossoneri sent an invitation to Conte with a three-year contract with a salary of 6 million euros a year.

Even so, the talks between Milan and Conte are suspended. The reason for the legal battle between Conte and Chelsea. On July 12, Chelsea sacked Conte to make way for Maurizio Sarri. Conte is said to have received a compensation of 10 million euros for the final year of his contract with Chelsea.

However, the Italian strategist is still suing for more compensation. Conte claims that the late dismissal (55 days after the 2017/18 season ended) caused his career to be delayed. At the time Conte lost his job, the managerial position of the big clubs was filled.
